What is a T1 transit document and when do I need one?›
A T1 is a customs declaration under the Common Transit Convention used to move non-Union goods across CTC territory with duties and VAT suspended until the goods reach their final destination. You need a T1 when moving goods from the UK into the EU or between CTC countries without paying duties at each border.
What is a T2 transit document and how is it different from T1?›
A T2 covers Union goods that need to transit through a non-Union territory (for example, UK or Switzerland) while retaining their EU status. T1 is for non-Union goods; T2 is for Union goods passing through non-Union land.
Does T1T2 Transit Movement handle NCTS submissions on my behalf?›
Yes. We submit IE015 declarations to the New Computerised Transit System, monitor the IE029 response and the issued TAD, and confirm discharge at the Office of Destination.
Can you provide the transit guarantee, or do I need my own?›
We provide Customs Comprehensive Guarantee coverage through PCSL's arrangements. You do not need your own guarantee for standard movements.
How fast can you issue a T1?›
For repeat clients with a complete document pack, T1s are typically issued inside 2 hours. New clients take longer because of onboarding checks.
